A Mother's Love Is Powerful

During our Easter play, the second miracle is a mother running to Jesus holding her lifeless daughter begging Him to help her. She was hanging on to hope even though the situation seemed final. Jesus is good at restoring hope in the face of tragedy. This mama pushed through all the obstacles in her way until she reached Jesus. Her cries made Jesus take notice. He looked at her with such compassion and spoke these words, “Fear not, only believe.” Jesus spoke faith to her fears.

As I watched Victoria act out this scene week after week it made me think about how strong a mother’s love is, and how our prayer life needs to be this strong for our children. If you're a young Mother let me encourage you to start praying early. Take every opportunity to get your children to Jesus and don’t let anything hinder you. Take them to Sunday School, take them to VBS, take them to church camps; because you’re building something that has eternal value, but most importantly take them to Jesus in your home. Live the Christian faith in front of them. One

day you'll become an empty nester like me, then you'll move into your golden years, and then become great grands.

Don't let anything keep you from taking your child to Jesus.

Intercessory prayer gives our children a hope and a future. A praying Mom is the best gift you can give to them. It’s our highest calling and greatest reward.

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
