Faithful To The Assembly

Hebrews 10:25

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Before the foundation of the world God had chosen that the Church be holy and blameless in Him, that is, in Christ. For that to happen it was necessary for Christ to die for the sins of the world and those who accepted His sacrifice, believing in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, and through the act of repentance would be part of the body of Christ (the Church).

When we think about Jesus dying on the cross we can see how important the Church is to God. But God's people get pulled here and there and with easy access to sermons and preaching, people start to replace going to Church with YouTube services and apps, and even those conveniences are soon avoided. But the fact remains that assembling together as the body of Christ is extremely important and valuable to us all.

Look at the wording in the verse "so much more, as ye see the day approaching." Each passing day brings us closer to "the day" in which Christ will return, thus making the assembling of ourselves together even more precious and valuable.

I saw a church sign that said;

"Church should be your excuse to miss everything else." ..wow!

One day Christ will return for His Church, may we be found faithful to the Church. We need each other.
