From The Cemetery To The Sanctuary

Mark 5:17-18

And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the LORD hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

In Mark 5, a girl was raised from the dead, another lady who had exhausted all of her means was healed of a disease she had 12 years, and a demon possessed man was set free from demonic control. Jesus was very busy.

Not everyone who is hurting or has reached the end of their resources is looking for Jesus. The lady with the issue of blood pressed through a crowd to get to Jesus, and Jarius traveled from a distance to ask Jesus to have mercy on his daughter, but not the Gadarene who was possessed. He ran far from help, and fought the people who tried to help him. He cut himself, and slept in a cemetery; he was that homeless person who people had tried to help over and over, but nothing worked. But Jesus, went to where he was and commanded the demons to leave, and immediately they left. There was such an immediate difference the Bible tells us the man clothed himself, and was seated with Jesus in his right mind.

Let me say it again not everyone who has a need is looking for Jesus, but Jesus is looking for them. Mark tells us as Jesus was leaving, the Gadarene asked Jesus not to leave, amazing isn't it? The very one who was running from help is now running to the greatest help who will ever exist. The Lord has a way of showing up at the right place at the right time.
