So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
My mind can't get away from the thought of all the distraction that we allow into our lives. Those distractions are very dangerous to our spiritual walk, because they cause us to lose our focus on who, and what is important. Knowing that there is great peace to those who stay focused on God, that should drive us to put away all distractions.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
But I have found in my own personal walk with God that my mind wanders in so many different areas. It's amazing how forgetful we become when trouble comes our way, or even worldly pleasures that we seek after. The truth is, most of the time when we get distracted from our worship it destroys our work for Christ.
Paul is saying in the simplicity of the scripture, that with everything that is within me I will continue in my purpose and I will give it my all. It's better to do one thing at 100% than it is to do five things at 20%. The work of Christ must be done, and if it is us that He chooses to use; may we give our all to that work.
1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
